The media for the Filter Professor dust collector filter is Fire Retardant 80/20 cellulose/polyester. 80/20 is a MERV 11 media typically used on blast, wood sanding, powder paint, and welding. It is the most economic and common media available that is effective in the 1-3 micron range.

By selecting Nanofiber on the drop down above you can upgrade to a MERV 15 media that is typically used for plasma cutting, laser cutting, ferrous metal grinding or anything that generates sub-micron particulate. Nanofiber is effective in the .3 to 1 micron range.
